What Makes Docklands Moves Different
Lift Bookings
Almost every Docklands tower requires a booked service lift slot, often with a strict start and end time. Buildings like Yarra’s Edge and Victoria Harbour typically require 24–48 hours’ notice through the concierge or building manager.
Certificate of Currency
Most owners’ corporations won’t release a lift booking without proof of our public liability insurance on file. We supply this to your building manager as a standard part of booking your move.
Loading Dock Access
Docks are shared between residents, couriers, and trade access, and are reached via internal ramps off Docklands Drive, Waterview Walk, or Harbour Esplanade depending on the tower. Dock windows are usually 1–2 hours, not open-ended.
Distance from Dock to Door
The walk from loading dock to service lift to your apartment can be considerably longer than a street-level move. We factor this into crew size and time estimates so the quote matches reality.
Event-Day Congestion
Docklands hosts Marvel Stadium, so match days and concerts bring road closures around the stadium precinct and heavier traffic on Footscray Road and Docklands Drive. We check the events calendar before locking in your date.
Parking & Loading Zones
On-street loading zones in Docklands are limited and tightly enforced by the City of Melbourne. Where no dock access applies, we arrange permits in advance rather than relying on finding a spare loading zone on the day.
